9/17/14 4pm received automated call asking to verify call receiver's name--if you don't hang up they assume you are the person they stated in the intro.  I hung up.  I'm in CA, the call originates from New York state.  Added to blocked call list.  Sounded like debt collector, only we aren't the people they're looking to notify.  Tried calling number but call is disconnected.  Can't talk, then they get the block!
