Yeah, "Nicky Johnson of the IRS" calls to tell you to call right away before the IRS "takes action." IRS does not call people out of the blue; they send letters first and rarely call anyone. This is a scam, which can be reported to www.tigta.gov. Let the feds deal with her.
I got a call from this number....Nicky Johnson from the IRS...516-945-9214...don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you.
this is a SCAM!!!! The IRS does NOT call you. These people will try to tell you they sent you a letter, that you need your attorney...or it is too late for your attorney...that you will go to jail for 6 months......just go to the IRS web page and report this number and call your local police also. These people are targeting every age group .... from college students to seniors to business owners.
Same thing happened to me an Indian guy picked up when right away (no IRS greeting or anything, no waiting on the line etc) I called the number. I asked him how do I know you are the IRS and he said:"Fine you'll know when the agents come and get you" and hung up! THIS IS A SCAM. Don't disclose any personal information.
