Yes and I missed it and called back. They said it was the IRS located in Albany. I said : why are you calling me. The IRS doesn't call people. The last time I received a call from IRS it was fraudulent and then he asked if I wanted him to send me a letter of correspondence I said yes and the call ended. Be careful and don't give any personal info.

I also received a call from that number on Oct 4, 2016 and the message they left said that they were a federal court from New York and that ignoring this would be a federal offense. They called a California number. I called back several times and the line was always busy. Thank you for this earlier posting. I now suspect it is a scam.
