I received a prerecorded message saying he was with "IRS" and did not leave a badge number or any identifying information. I or my lawyer must call back immediately. If I don't call back, he wishes me the best of luck. Thanks - I could use some good luck.
Hilariously bad con artist pretending to be from the IRS. (Or as he puts it, he's "from IRS".) Said his name was "Admin Shepherd", yet he has a thick foreign accent and speaks poor English. He left a voicemail saying he needed to speak to me or my attorney, and if I disregarded the message the situation would unfold badly on me. Yeah... I'm not going to worry too much about that.
Me too! I don't understand why the FBI or any other government agency cannot do anything about these calls. The first one I received scared the pants off of me. The same thing happened to me as the individual above. Same name and lack of communication skills. I immediately asked him to identify himself and his badge number. He refused to give it to me probably because he couldn't understand. In addition, I could hear someone behind him saying the same exact thing on a VM to someone else. So who is Officer Sheppard? The guy I'm suppose to be talking to or the person in the back. When I asked for the individual to identify who is supervisor was and who the Director or Deputy Director was for the IRS, he simply continued to insult me. Interesting considering my sister, and several close family members are CPA's.
Anyway, I never leave replies on posting boards; however I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. Very scary to have happened. I was in my car and thought I was going to have a panic attack.
If anyone finds out any additional information, please post so that others don't get hurt while these people continue to engage in fraudulent manners.
