I've been getting calls about a payday loan that they say I defaulted on back in 2010 or something like that. I ask for information about the debit like the amount and the name of the company and they refuse to give it to me. Then they get mad because I won't "settle the debit" without the information. I also got a call from the same company (same guy as yesterday) with the return number 520-356-0573.
I honestly don't know what debit they are talking about but they have my work number, my email address, and the name of a bank I used in the past but stopped using them way before 2010. Do I call them or just wait for them to serve me papers?
Has anyone else actually been taken to court from the company contacting you from this number?
