Don't Panic.  This guy shows up on this board quite often with complaints.  He is a low life 3rd party and scamming debt collector who Breaks every law of the FDCPA that there is.   Everything he does is illegal and he depends on scaring the beejeebees out of people to make them pay before they have time to recover and think about it.   Next time he calls,  demand that he send you written and verifiable validation of the "ALLEGED"  debt from the Original owner of the alleged debt and his legal right to claim and collect the alleged debt  in your state.  Demand that he provide proof of any contract that may exist with your signature on it.  Always use the word "Alleged"  when referring to any debt.  He has 5 days to send it.  Do not accept fax or email  as they are both not considered acceptable evidence in court.  Demand everything be in writing and via USPS  granny mail.
If he refuses or makes excuses,  it is because he has nothing and is definately a scammer.
This guy is a crook.  Don't let him intimidate you into paying anything.  Stand up to him,  nose to nose, and don't blink......He can't do a damn thing except shoot off his mouth and threaten.

Unfortunately, no. Report the scam to the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam a year ago:
