Received cheque for $2,580.00 for upcoming mystery shopping assignment. Cheque was issued from Canplas in Barrie ON -- a legitimate company and the Nova Scotia bank branch also exists.

The company is legitimate. The Bank is legitimate. The cheque is a forgery. Do not cash it. Eventually your bank will deduct the payment from your accoount and by then youi may have sent money to the people defrauding you.

Received a call from Alfred who is working with Clarence Mitchell. I received a check for 2,685.00$. I did not cash the check. What should I do now ? Do I have to report it to someone? Is there an investigation about this fraud?
