This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Pima County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 20. I have called the number. It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.pimalodge20.ning.com. Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for the Pima County police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.
Obviously "Snow" is working this scam, as the Pima County Fraternal Order of Police NEVER calls and asks for donations. In addition, the link listed is NOT for the Pima County FOP, but is on ning, a network that is used by many groups to phish for info. "Snow" and his/her group have several phone numbers and this is just their latest number, which as of yet doesn't have any negative comments about their scam techniques. Thus, just be aware that this is just a slick attempt to get people to either give out their info or their hard earned money. If you do get a call from this number don't answer it and then report them to donotcall.gov. If you want more info, just do a search for the Pima County FOP or do a scan for "ning" and "scam". This will allow to to pull up all sorts of links on these scammers.
ID says SPECIAL FUND -- This caller has been on the fraud watch list for quite some time. Keep him on the line and try to get as much information from caller as you can. Then report him to Arizona Attorney General (520) 628-6504. This creep is not affiliated with any law enforcement agency.
