Foreign woman claiming to be from Plex Systems, looking for several IT people who are no longer with our company.
I have received calls from similar numbers...520-366-3001, 520-366-3116, 520-366-3849, 520-366-3850, 520-366-3888,
and 520-366-8854. All of these people are foreign...you can hear the loud call center sounds in the background.
They have claimed to be - IT Business Edge, Technology Research Assets, Summitt International, LNT, ITC Infotech, Photon Infotech, FedEx, Bank of America, US Bank, Citibank, CitiExpress, UPS, Microsoft, Google, Dell, IBM, or calling from the "office of" (insert a name), from LogRhythm, SafeNet, Magenic Technologies, LogiAnalytics, Zilliant, Ziff Davis, all with lists of names of our IT personnel.
I believe they are phishing for information. They have "several packages to deliver" to various people and need an e-mail addresses to send tracking numbers to....they also ask for titles, direct dial phone numbers and want to verify that they still work with us. I believe they are collecting info to turn around and sell to other parties. We get hundreds of calls a week from these idiots! I take great pleasure in shooting them down. I refuse to forward these calls to our employees, and refuse to answer any of their questions and just say that I am not able to give them any information.
Obvious scam artists!
