Last spring, my 91 yr old mother was contacted by someone who told her she needed to make the 2nd payment on the cruise she purchased.  She told them it must be a mistake because she didn't purchase and cruise and never made any payments.  They said she had already made the first installment a while back and asked her to confirm her account number to make sure they had the right person.  She confirmed her account number but still insisted she had not sent any payments or purchased anything.  They said they would send her the paperwork again so she could see what the charges were for.  She called her bank the next day to find out if there had been any charges recently for the specific amount.  They confirmed that in fact there were two charges for the same amount done on the same day, just hours apart.  She told them she thought that she had been scammed and asked them to not pay the charges.  The money was restored to her account and she thought all was fine, until a month ago, she received a letter, then phone calls stating that her bank made a mistake by stopping all of the charges because half of it should have gone to them and they have threatened to sue her if she does not pay $360.69.  I called the phone number associated with this company.  When I said I had questions about some charges, they quickly said they would have a manager call me back.  They didn't even ask for my phone number.
