Loretta Keag with (3M India), which does exist, offering a job processing paperwork for their new office "in my area" who will be sending me a check to deposit and then want me to send a money order to their hardware supplier for needed equipment relating to the job. 99% sure this is a scam, and I have no intention of sending out any money orders until the check clears and the money is IN my account. Also have no intention to give my SSN; address and name should be safe enough.
It's a scam. The check they send is fraudulent. They're hoping you send out your money order to their "hardware supplier" (who is really the same person who sent you the fake check) before your bank tells you the check is phony.
I still have the entire interview on my Gmail account. Is there anyway I can pass my information to someone? This woman wants me to check in with her at 8am so she can give me further instructions.
Print it out and take it to your local police department and file a report with it - they should tell you where you can forward those emails in your Gmail account.
