Twice now this # has called. CID says "Dennehotso, AZ" which is ON THE REZ and does NOT have a 520 prefix. We are a security co. and I answered "______ Security"- a LIVE voice on the other end said "Oh, excuse me, wrong number". Maybe time to answer all these spurious CIDs thus. Seems to work - they never called back! Our legit customers know the code to give, these scammers don't which also gives them away.
Addendum to the previous: my son is head of security for the firm. He has received many spurious phone calls, unknown numbers. He now answers " ______ Security, Officer Brown.
How may I help you?" For the most part they click off before he gets it all out, so they can't all be auto or robo calls. This just gets weirder and weirder. And for those of you who try to report this crap to your phone co.: forget it - they're all in on it, make money from it, and will NOT help you in any way, other than suggesting that you change your number. Not feasible for us. If I could drop my landline I would, but it would screw up the co., and cells are getting to be just as bad!
Picked up. Lady said she was Diane from Affordable Exteriors about double pane windows. I asked why don't they pay attention to National Do Not Call List. They're supposed to check that list first.
