I received a phone cal from somebody claiming to work for Windows, in California. The person indicated I had infections in my computer, and wanted me to turn control of the computer over to a distant technician. On questioning the person for proof of identity, I was given the above telephone number to call. I see that even though they claim to be in Sacramento, CA., the number is an Arizona number. Therefore I discontinued the call.
Is this really a number related toMicrosoft?

I received a phone call from some woman (Indian accent) claiming to work for Windows, in Arizona. The person indicated I had infections in my computer and wanted me to turn control of the computer over to her technician. She also asked confirmation on the name and address of the computer owner (which I did not reply to). On questioning her for proof of identity, I was given telephone number 520 720 0786 to call then I hung up.
Is this really a number related to Microsoft Security?
