Called today and someone actually spoke to me! She said her name was Jessica and she needed to speak to the owner. I asked what the call was about, she said updates to our merchant account and I hung up on her. We get these calls daily from different businesses and I always tell them we are not interested.
Caller ID said "Tucson, AZ." I answered and heard someone breathing for a second, then a long pause. I said "hello?" then they hung up on me. What's the point of calling us to telemarket if you're not going to say anything!?!?
Solicitation for merchant services. When asked if this was a solicitation call, they said no. Said they were calling representing our merchant to let us know we had to update our machines. When asked who was the merchant, they went duh. (we had already updated weeks ago) So.... they are desperate to sell merchant service to the point of lying. Why anyone would trust a company that lies right off the bat to get your business is beyond me, but I'd be very wary. Oro Valley Investments is the company name
