Since they put "local call" in the caller's name field instead of their name, I don't answer. When they get my answering machine, they just hang up.
Now when they call back, I just press my answer button on the phone and then immediately hang up, just to get the phone to stop ringing.
These guys have called 4 times in the past 3 days...
Call received 4/2/08 at 2:00 pm Arizona time. A slow talking adult male said he's calling from "The Fraternal Order of Police for Maricopa County" and wants me to make a donation to the brave men and women who patrol the streets and neighborhoods of Maricopa County. I receive calls from them every few months and I have told them I'm not interested and I do not live in Maricopa County so DO NOT CALL BACK. This has been going on for almost 4 years. Sometimes they call come from 520-829-3618 or it comes up private caller. In any case I'm now keeping track of all their calls and if it continues(I know it will) I am going to sue them.
They were asking for money for the Faternal Order of Police Lodge 5.
I informed them that even if I had extra money to donate, I wouldn't donate to them because I know that they work off of commission and that most of the donated money does not go to the police, if any at all.
