It's illegal- they are displaying a phone number that isn't real and inadequate caller ID. It would be nice if the gov't took this more seriously, but since political parties are doing the same we are out of luck.
I got trolled by this number too. Still, the person who finally picked up was a champ and played a game with me. Jobs are real. Since the failures of the USG determine this is how you create jobs, let's have a drink to the ladies and gentlemen that have to deal with our response. I drink to you telemarketers. Know that some of us have been there and done that. There's always more interesting things though. Be wary when you call my number, you may enjoy the response!
This # called - CID said "Linda Allen". I ignored and they hung up after 5 rings. A minute or two later the SAME number called with a 928 prefix and "Unknown name" on the CID. I think the "Linda Allen" name is to get you to answer the phone. Since I don't know anybody by that name I didn't pick up. I've found that doing the quick "on-off" button thing has cut these scam calls by 98%. They think it's a call blocker and don't call back. If I go out I simply shut the phone off, My friends know if that happens I am out and will call them when I return. Sad and disgusting that we should be forced to do this to protect ourselves.
