My father got a call from these people telling him they were with Microsoft and needed to download something. He had no prior experience with them. Be very careful !
Microsoft does *NOT* know your phone number. Always call a main number and use the extension supplied to get to the person that called you.

When the 1st rep called, she said she was with Microsoft and that she could see that I was having problems with Windows. She wanted me to let her gain access into my computer. I told her it that I could not do it then, but if I could call her back later. She gave me the 855 number listed above. I goggled that number and got the company info. They keep calling!!!! I have not let them in, I made sure remote access is off, I have called Microsoft and they referred me to the FCC who referred me to the Trade Commission. They are not with Microsoft (FYI if Microsoft calls, the caller ID will come up as Microsoft). The number that showed up on the caller ID was 520-979-3589 and Tucson, AZ.
They have NEVER called me by name or asked for me or even asked for anybody. In-order to get my number off their list, I have to give them my email address, they will send me a form. NO--I did not give them my email address. I will block the calls through my phone company.
