caller asked for donation for police officers killed in the line of duty around the country. I asked for his name (Jackson Kimble). I also asked for a website...he gave me one and when I said I would look at the website before I made any donations, he hung up. Figured it was a scam even before I asked for the website. Never give any donations over the phone. No matter how professional they sound.
Call from this number came in SUNDAY afternoon 04/30 at 1340. Caller asked for my husband. Toid him "not available" and he said "well I'm sure you can help me. This is Jason (I think) from Charity something or other." Sounded very professional - but calling on a Sunday afternoon - give me a break. CID only provided the number, per above, and "none" as the ID. I'm sure it was a scam of some sort - so just hung up. Don't usually answer calls from numbers I don't recognize but was curious this time...should have followed my usual judgment and just disconnected the call in the first place.
