They are obviously aware that the 530-208-9631 has been reported as being utilized in connection with a scam, for I received an identical call to those decribed above (the male caller, who had such a thick SE Asian accent that his English was barely understandable, identified himself as "Justin Johnson" of "Beck Litigation Dept."), but the individuals behind the scam have apparently changed the telephone number they had been utilizing through which to route, and "mask", their calls, as the call I received originated from telephone number 415-251-3769, in Novato, CA (a small city North of San Francisco). I did not respond to the call, but I am concerned that other people might, particularly elderly individuals who are more susceptible to frauds wherein the perpetrators utilize intimidating threats of legal action, so I made a telephonic complaint regarding this call with the Treasury/IRS Administration. It is unlikely they will take any action, particularly since the calls are probably originating from overseas, and simply being routed so as to make it appear that they are originating in California.
I just received a phone call from someone with an indian accent James Washington saying that he is calling from IRS from phone# 530 208 9631 and that I have an income tax issue. He called back 3 times my dad and I yelled at him and he hung up. Don't answer the phone with this number and don't call back.
Absolutely scam, do not even answer. Michelle with an accents stated I need to talk to Kevin Beerson at 530-208-9631 which is the same number she called from, Kevin Beerson asked if I have an attorney to represent me due to my back taxes issues, sure enough when I said I have an attorney, he hung up right away. Bring it on! I want to see what will my attorney say, do not let them go easy, I am filing a complaint with the IRS via the acutal IRS website. Do not fall for it, Spend few minutes of your time to get these scammer all together!
