I agree, this number looked familiar, so I went to my Blocked calls, and yes it them.
They call you and tell you that your computer has a virus, and want to dial in.
Got the poo up in Firefox that I "had a virus" and needed to call "the help desk" with a 877-682-1379 number. Googled and couldn't find any info. with that number. Dialed it, and got an Indian gentlemen as everyone above talked about. No mention of who they were affiliated with when he answered, so without saying a word hung up. Within 5 seconds He called back from the non-toll free number. Do not call.
