Received a call on my cell and decided to actually answer it this time. I said, "Hello," repeatedly, but no response. The only sound I thought I heard were some keys on a keyboard clicking in the background. After about 10 seconds of me saying, "Hello," like a dummy, they hung up without saying a word.
They're probably scammers calling around to see who answers for their black market database or whatever.
Robo call starts with the renewal energy act - then says to press #1 if your electric bill is over $$$. There is no info given to op out. Not legal for a few reasons. Reported to ftc. If enough complaints are filed they will be fined a large amount and will go out of business. Please go to the national do not call registry - read the rules, file a complaint - do not need to be on the list for filing unlawful practice. One unlawful practice is a recorded message.
