I got the same phone call! He tried saying I was being charged with government fraud. He then left me a voicemail saying he had naked photo's and videos of me so i shouldnt try to mess with him. We are obviously the center of this [***]'s entertainment. I say we all go to our local police department and press charges. You can press charges for threat since almost everyone posted about him threatening to do something to them. We shouldnt allow this man to continue to do this to people. We are going to report him this evening to the police and i hope you all do the same. Let's get this scum in big trouble for being such a jerk and thinking he can win one over on us!!!
Called my house and work today saying I owe them money from a payday loan that I took out with them online. NOT TRUE!!! Said I will be put in jail and taken to court. Tried to scare me. Would not give me any information about what I supposedly owe! Said police would be contacting me! I contacted the police myself and asked if any outstanding warrents. This is a scam!! Nancy Williams called my work and when I called back I talked to Eric Matthews, neither oif which could give many anything but threats!!
I received 10 calls this past week from this number. The last one said that my life was in danger and if I don't call, then may God be with me. I was also told to "put my fingers on the numbers and call this number". All that I gave were the names of three payday places I went with in the past. I'm glad that I gave them no personal information. They said that I'd be required to show up Monday at 5pm for court in California. I'm glad that there's no legitimate charges filed but now I can say that I've been scammed!!
The caller sent me voicemail at my work phone asking me to contact them regarding an urgent matter. I did not receive the voicemail and got a call from them today and had a full blown argument. Like the first poster, they had all of my personal information logged into their system and now I have to have a fraud attempt placed on my credit report. Once I had my attorney call them--the caller who went by the name of Daniel Martinez (clearly he is of Indian decent, but his name does not say so) hung up on him and refuse to talk. They said they would be serving my job with a suit--which is unlawful anyway. When I asked what company is "suing" me they stated "instant cash" and I went ahead and asked what the website and date was and they could not provide that information. When asked about what the website was of the suing company he stated they have more than 30,000 websites and they don't know which one it was. Its a total shame that people are scamming others like this.
did they have all your information, i just received exactly the same phone call tomy work, an dthye have all my information including social security number, should i be worried?
I recieved a phone call at my place of work and also my privie number and when I returned the call they kept hanging up and they left me a threatening message. I will be reporting this to the states attorney now.
