I have received this call several times. Always the same response - NONE - just the hang up tone. My only explanation to their not answering is that they want to hear a female voice or perhaps my wife's since she is a foreign national and it would be obvious to someone with access to her name. Perhaps they think that they have a better chance of coaxing a non native speaker into some kind of a deal or scam.
I have received several calls from this number but when I (a male voice) answered they would always hang up. This morning I received another one. This time I pretended to be a female. Immediately a lady came on the line and said that she was with Easy Rest Adjustable Beds and started asking me questions about my sleep positions. As the telephone number has the same area code prefix as mine, I asked if they were local. She said no that they were in Florida and said that they used the number for my convenience in case I wanted to call back. I then told her that I didn't want to invest in a new bed and asked her not to call again. I am going to check to see if there is an Easy Bed in Florida and if they are to register a complaint with them.
