It has been more than two years since I made the mistake of inquiring about a mortgage online. Since that time I get called every day. It appears that the website I put my phone number into just bulk sells these lists to any mortgage company in the country.
This does not seem proper to me. If the purpose of the Do-Not-Call Registry is to prevent spam calling, then buying two-year old inquiries from a third-party company should not count as an inquiry exception to the Do-Not-Call Registry. Please stop this company from wasting tens of thousands of people's time.
We receive unwarranted calls from this number all the time but they always say "oops wrong number" when we answer. Sounds like a telemarketer though because of all the noise in the background
Made the mistake of applying for a loan thru Quicken Loan. When I had a change of heart, I began to get a slew of calls from other lenders and solar companies. Buyer beware, Quicken Loan is a bad company. PS- if get one of these folks on the line, ask for their NMLS# and threaten to report them for abuse has been effective in getting them to leave you alone. But there are always others in the wings ready to make that cold call.
