"Hi this is Heather. I'm calling from the dealer processing department regarding your vehicle warranty. We send you a final notice in the mail letting you know that your warranty has expired..." Shut up Heather. Stupid scammer.
Same thing. what I am trying to figure out is what the scam is. I dont own a car, but figured I would play along with the person that "Heather" transferred me to. Invariably the call disconnects and of course you cant call them back since the number showing up in your caller ID is spoofed anyway. I suppose they figure they can get that one poor sap in a thousand to take their car warranty, home security system, lower credit card rate, etc, Must be working or it wouldn't make sense to fund the $1 per hour staffers from the oversees call centers from which these calls originate.
The reason the guy cursed at you as that he recognized that he wast going to make a sale. Likely working under a quota and once he realized you were wasting his time, he figured he through a few swear words your way. Appreciate you want to be civil, butt unfortunately the world has changed.
