I would like to know a little more about this plwase, i contacted him via craigslist and was sent a check today for an unordinarily large sum that I am apprehensive to even attempt to deposit
I got the same email.Then I looked for the ip add and it says..
'was originated within the web-based application. It was initially created and sent at Wed, 01 May 2013 04:00:24 +0200 (CEST) and delivered to end-user's mailbox after 30 seconds. It is impossible to conclude for sure which IP-address had a PC on which the the message was originated.As a consequence it is impossible to locate this PC. During the delivery the message was passed through the mail-server with IP-address 2607:f8b0:4001:c02::244, which is located in United States [ whois | map | ping | traceroute | spam check ].''
This email was sent from somewhere near California or someone from the same server.And what a fool..he gave phone number of 3 countries.

I got the same email from an Andrew Burche. I looked him up and nothing seemed fishy. He sent a check for $2,700 and I let it sit and reported him. Same email verbaum.....

I changed my passwords and everything and told him I wanted things shipped to a PO Box until we met. I havent received any calls but I don't answer then phone to unlisted numbers. I never cashed the check and let it sit. Thank god because im about to leave on a trip and needed the money but oh well.
I got the e-mail back about 15 minutes ago with him going by Christopher Taylor. It seemed really sketchy so I started using what information he'd provided to try and verify his identity or find anything that didn't line up. Now that i've found this, I e-mailed back acting leery of a scam, but optimistic about things. Hopefully, I can bait him into giving me enough details, in an effort to ease my mind, that he'll let something slip that helps get him caught. Time to see how smart he actually is.
