The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has just ruled that the telephone companies can and should provide free blockers within their systems to block these scammers and con artists.
There is an effort being made by Consumers Union (they publish Consumer Reports). The effort is a petition to the phone companies—responsible for these phone calls—to offer free scam blockers.
The telephone companies are dragging their feet. They do not screen scammers and are making money off their harassing telephone Robocalls to consumers.
Signing the petition is sure to help. Consumers Union has clout because of the numbers.

Also, contact your Congressman. Congress should address this issue since it is a federal problem. My California Congressman Garamendi did not respond until after 13 E-mails, but I hope you have a better Congressperson than me.
The lady asked for me by name (?). She stated her reason for calling and I asked her if her charity worked through a particular hospital or group of doctors and she got mad and said "we just send it where it is most needed". I told her that answer wasn't good enough and even though I heard her getting mad I hung up and blocked the number. I got a call from this group about six months ago and they asked for my mom and wanted to know if she would want to donate the same amount she did before ..... my mom passed away in 1990. What is wrong with these people?

A woman called asking for donations and she was even lowering the amount of donation I said no I couldn't donate and she just kept lowering the donation down to $15.00 I said no thank you and hung up figured that is just another scam. She probably would of kept lowering it just to get some sucker to donate and give their numbers to them. PISS on those damn scamming criminals I hope the get caught and prosecuted to the maximum!! DAMN SCUM BAGS OF THE EARTH!!
