They call and say nothing when I answer. Silence. They leave no message and call on Sunday and all through the week before 8am and after 9pm. I see in the comments here where it is a medical collection agency. If the time comes when they DO get on the phone, they will get an ear full of airhorn. Thier tactics are rude and if they are going to harass me and my family I will indeed give our phone number a reputation for a deaf ear. THEIR deaf ear.
These idiots call all hours of the day and night, no regard for people working or dinner time. They leave no messages on the machine, and if you do answer, there is no one on the other end. We have had some financial problems as everyone else right now, and we are trying to pay what we can on our monthly debts. I guess the payments aren't good enough, as we are bombarded with these calls. Why aren't they happy with a small payment, as compared to no payment at all??? Makes me sick that people can be so heartless and rude especially at this time of the year. What we are going through was not by our choice. Its humiliating and embarrassing to even be in this position, but its out of our hands. Very sad to me, and I hope these idiots who keep calling are never in the circumstances we are in now.
Because you're still in default if your bills aren't paid on time and in full. Your lack of cash flow does not change your liability to creditors. You don't get to decide the amounts due, your creditors do. I should think that would not need explaining. If you've not tried to negotiate better terms with those creditors it's really hard to complain when they farm out to third party collectors.
Now if you're having an issue with the conduct of those collectors, you do have footing for a complaint. If such conduct is illegal, the amounts claimed are wrong, and so forth, you have cause to sue for denial of your rights.
