They ONLY call registered voters. You may have a phone number someone registered to vote with. I am not sure how to fix this; I would start at your local voter registrar office.

There is NOT a do not call list for registered voters. If you ARE NOT the person they ask for, tell them they have the WRONG NUMBER and they won't call you back until that particular survey is finished (they should ask for your name specifically because they cannot survey anyone but the name they have). If you ARE the person they ask for, then you shouldn't have put your number down when you registered to vote since that is the only way they get the numbers. To get your number off the registered voters list you have to contact your local voter registrar.  

Please do not scream at the telephone surveyors. They are only calling you because either you gave your number to them by putting it down when you registered to vote, or you have the misfortune of someone else's number that they put down to vote.

Another option is to get caller I.D. and not answer the phone when an unknown or blocked number calls you.

There are many ways to resolve this issue other than screaming at the surveyors, it doesn't solve anything.
