Thick access announcing that I have an "enforcement action by the US Treasury" and ignoring this message I will be called before a "magistrate". Same bent on the old IRS Scam.
I got a message on my phone from Dennis Gray in regards to failing to report taxes in 2011. He warned me I needed to call back right away. Which of course I did! I got a woman with a foreign accent. She said my failure to file taxes in 2011 has resulted that I have committed a federal crime and charges have been filed against me. Penalties would result in prison time! Oh my, what to do? How do I take care of this crime I committed? Oh woasme! I asked her to take my credit card number and pay the IRS the money I owed. Then I asked if she had a pen. And I said to write this down. Then I fired off every cuss word and insult I could think of in the following seconds before she hung up. I hope she calls back! I didn't get the chance to giver her my credit card number!
Same call as all the others received. Apparently I am a scofflaw and will be hauled off to jail (not even allowed to pass GO) unless I call the "good folks" at the above number. Use of phrases like "magistrate judge" (not an American jurisprudence term) identifies this caller as overseas. Plan to block number
this same man called about a month ago from a number in NY. He said his name was David Gray. This was supposed to be someone else. Threats from them about owing taxes. Same old IRS scam. I called the number back. A woman answered. I told her not to call me anymore. I had reported the call to the attorney general's office. I also told her that the SOB that called this time had called about a month ago using a different name. Was really nasty to her! These people have Middle Eastern accents!
