Called to tell me there's a problem with Windows 10 and I told them it is bs and not to effing call again. I know it's scam because they've already called before and got a virus on my computer with their number.
Claiming to be from Microsoft. Wants remote access to your computer basically to steal all of your bank information and slowly steal money from your account via ACH withdrawals and the funds are then sent to India. Very old scam. I know someone who almost lost $25,000 over a three month period but his bank was able to retrieve all of the funds. NO ONE WILL EVER CALL ASKING FOR ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER. Do not fall for this scam.
When you call them back and it says the number has been disconnected...it's a program they are running to block incoming calls....i mean they don't want to to bug them the way they do you.
After receiving the caller ID call Cathy Carter again, 731am -no message-and no valid number on recall-we contacted the Do not Registry at 1-888-382-1222 from the phone number we received the call and filed a complaint. We recommend anyone receiving a call from this number do likewise. Even if you are already signed up under the do not call registry, this is also where you file complaints for robo calls, or other caller violators.
