They called me and I answered. Middle eastern guy tried to talk about insurance. Told him I wasnt interested so he started swearing at me and said he was going to fu*k my mother. Yeah. Sounds real legit
Got this same call but didn't answer it. Caller ID showed as Virginia. Also received a call from the same number but different area code 240-096-8821. Caller ID showed Maryland for that call.
Didn't answer. Clearly a scam. 540 is a MD area code, but this is an out-of-country call. The US does not allow the prefix of a phone # to be a 0 or 1. I would recommend NEVER answering a call with (xxx) 0xx-xxxx or (xxx) 1xx-xxxx. Also received a call from 240-096-8821, highly suspicious for out-of-the country call. The risk in these calls are that you can be charged an outrageous amount of money for them, and before calling back a # you don't know ALWAYS Google it first.
