I got a recorded message from this number, initially in spanish and then in english it asked me to enter my credit card number followed by the pound sign. At that point I got a recording saying my party could not be reached at this time.
I am receiving daily calls to my cell phone from this number. Sometimes a message is left. I called it this evening to verify exactly what the message is. I was given a choice for Spanish (press 1) or English (press 2). The message was: "Enter your card # followed by the pound key." (Which of course I did not do.) That request was made about five times and then the message was, "We did not get any input. Please hang up and try again later." Interesting that Spanish was the first choice as it usually is given as a second choice. The area code is SW VA.
My American friend is out of the county working in India for two months and when he called me earlier today this number came up on the id box. He typically calls from skype or his international phone, so I did not recognize this number and asked him about it and he said he didn't know why that number came up because he was using his international phone. He told me to hang up and call him back on that number and I also got the message in Spanish and then English asking me to enter my card number or try again later. I did a paid search and the number is a Roanoke, VA number, but the last known registration goes to a Christopher Clark in Lexington, Va. It is through MCI communications but I suspect it's a pay per use phone. It still doesn't explain why it came up on my ID box when my friend called me from India. He is from the states and does not have a foreign accent. This just happened several hours ago. How many of you that have received calls from this number live in Virginia? Any further information would be appreicated. Please let me know if you receive more calls from this number because I'm truly confused by all of this.....???????????????????
