got a call saying they are calling from a criminal office. didn't wait for them to say anything else. just hung up the phone. i had gotten a call like this several months ago saying i owed for a pay day loan that i hadn't never gotten. stated i had pay the loan but never the interest. i didn't recognize the company. it was cash network or something like that. it was also a foreigner speaking person.
I have been going back and forth with these idiots for about an hour. I called them back and pretended to be my own attorney. When I asked for the file to be faxed to me all of a sudden "Sandra" didn't have the authorization to send that out. She then proceeded to verbalized what my charges were and when I repeated that in order for me to put my case together I would need to see the actual paperwork, she stated that someone would have to call me back.
I also called the sheriff's office in Franklin County, VA where this number is supposed to be from. The clerk stated that this is a cell phone number (it shows as a landline if you look it up) and that she believes it to be some type of scam.
I recieved a call from this number and the middle eastern sounding woman on the phone claimed she was from an attourneys office calling about a lawsuit against my ssn and she needed to speak to my attourney and i hung up and called back as my "attourney" and asked to have the documents faxed...I gave her my fax # for my house and she said she'd fax them right over and even claimed to do so while on the phone with me this was 3 hrs ago and i didnt recive a fax so i called back and asked her what the case was pertaining to and she stated that it was the result of and unpaid payday loan from quickcash.net and when i told her that there was no payday loan and it was a scam she told me go to hell i will see you in court
I got a call a few minutes ago from Sandra pretending to be an attorny,so I did not talk to her. I filed a complaint with the FTC since I read your post. These people are the scum of the earth.
