Yeah, I got the exact same thing. I knew it was a scam but as luck would have it I did just complete a survey that offerred a chance at a $1000 best buy card. I'm glad I didn't follow the link.
Stupid spam telemarketer text message that costs me money. Don't have unlimited texting nor a texting plan so I have to pay per message and this is eating up my phone balance, losing my minutes to this scam and the phone company doesn't want to help stop it because they are making a profit from these text messages. The phone company has the nerve to charge $5 to add these numbers in an attempt to stop these messages, why should I have to pay to stop this. Stupid message about winning some $1000 Best Buy card. The message: "Your entry last month has WON! Go to http(colon)(backward slash)(backward slash)bit(dot)ly(slash)L8KLQA and enter your Winning Code: "1234" to claim your FREE $1000 Best Buy Gift Card. If it wasn't for my family and friends texting me, I would disable receiving text messages on my phone.
