I sent an email showing interest in a rental house posted on Craigslist in Decatur, GA. The poor grammar and mangled English alerted me to a scammer. I googled the number and came up with several people complaining about this guy from all over the US. So beware!! And let awkward English be your guide when it comes to spotting spammers!

I really hope i am not getting back to you very late about the house you want to rent, I had to leave Decatur, GA in a hurry due to my recent promotion and it involves me working in different states. My family and i just moved from Decatur, GA. We intend selling the house if we find a Tenant that would be ready for a lease to own after a year in the house, if not, then we will continue with normal rentals. He is also using my rental house as a cloned ad -- same verbiage on Craigslist. My property is at 116 Bernhard Pl, Fayetteville, GA. He is using the name Pedro. Same price for rent -- $600/month.
Same thing, same number, same house and same message just happened to me, but saying Troy MI. It set off red flags cause i know for a fact there's NO houses in that area for that amount so i googled the number he left and found these posts. Thank you
