A Sunday call claiming that he's calling on behalf of my car dealer (he named them as well as the year of my car). Trying to sell car warranty. We're on DNC list. Said the company was something like (he wouldn't spell it out) eweed-one.

DNC works just fine. People are prosecuted under the DNC law. However it is meant as a guide to law-abiding telemarketers. Scofflaws and criminals are not stopped by the DNC. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
