I got the same exact personal training line, for his children, who needed transportation, but the driver didn't accept credit cards, so asked me to settle up with the driver after he paid me. $4000!!! Sounded fishy from the start, but wasn't sure at first, but now reading it was done to other people, now I know to stay away! Thanks!
This caller contacted our business to engage in personal training services. They wanted to pay with a credit card and also pay for transportation services with a credit card (since the driver could not except credit cards) for their children since they were currently in the hospital and could not drive their children themselves. After I would receive payment on their credit card I was to give CASH to the driver in the tune of $1500 +. Thankfully I caught on before it was too late and they dropped off on return calls.
I also received a request for a landscaping job on this supposed person's home in Los Angeles. It sounded fishy from the beginning. They kept avoiding meeting in person and wanted to pay with credit card only and accepted the estimate instantaneously. Then at the end gave me the story of being themselves in the hospital with lung cancer and that they owed the owner of the house money and they needed me to give them the money once they paid me. That was the end of that.

Same kind of deal described above, training for children, man had lung cancer, paid our business with credit card and then wanted
money for driver - which my son deposited in Bank of America account. The Bank of America accts. get closed or investigated for fraud. The credit cards are stolen that they use. This is a Russian/Nigerian ring......We lost some money and paypal was trying to go after my son because he ran the credit card thru paypal.....It is sickening they also have scam on dating sites with a guy that claims he is an architect, he says his German/English. I actually talked to him and he has an accent which actually could be fake because he does not talk on phone for long. I wish the FBI would nail these guys - I reported the Training Scam to FBI and never heard back have tons of emails going back and forth with my son. He did not tell me until it was too late what was happening and we lost about $3200.
