Per fdcpa law it is not illegal to call places but the moment you request no calls to any number or request no calls to any specific place or person they are regulated by federal law to oblige. Any further contact to those places or persons after your no calls request is breaking the law and it would be there [***] and money in your pocket.
Called my number looking for my husband. Gave first name and number. I called back and they wouldn't answer. Voicemail just said ladies first name. No mention of collections. Total scam.
Answered and immediately a woman said "Hello, is (my name) available to talk? This phone call will be recorded." I hung up after that, but I have been called a few times before by this number. I never answer, and they never leave voice mails. Guessing it's a debt collector spam.
