I just got the same call told me i committed fraud and I have a warrant out on me, a police officer will be there to pick me up in an hour. Could understand i her very thick accent also.
Another number that has the same recording: "Hello, we have been trying to reach you." It goes on with the familiar "the IRS has filed a lawsuit against you...contact us at ..."
Just a heads up. I just received a mysterious phone call from "Boardman Oregon" from this number 541-945-9280. They are stating that they are calling from the IRS stating that they have substantial evidence that they have received from doing a random audit that I supposedly committed fraud. They will ask for personal information and their reasoning for contacting you may be different. But the person who I talked to over the phone had a very thick accent so I asked to speak to someone else who I could understand, so they transferred me to another person who also had a strong accent. After I asked to speak to another person who had a less thick accent they hung up on me. Just a heads up to everyone out there. There are quite a few of these calls taking place please don't give them any personal information especially your social or birthday.
Don't answer your phone if you don't know the number & research the number & caller after they call. Don't be gullible, don't give your Social Security number or your bank account number. There are thieves out there. There are also some people using numbers to hide their real identity bec. they want to annoy.
