No they cannot. In some cases you can be held in contempt for failure to appear. It is quite rare in civil debt cases but it does happen. For example child support actions. If you are ordered to appear and you do not, yes, you can be held in contempt--but ONLY A JUDGE CAN ISSUE A WARRANT AND IT IS ONLY USABLE BY POLICE OR SHERIFFS, not some damn two bit--kitchen-table debt scammer. DEBT COLLECTORS DO NOT REPRESENT THE STATE.
Called me about check fraud, threatening criminal action. Reported them to local sheriff who passed it on to Attorney General. Caller said his name was Chris Swartz
I have call this number spoke with a few different people and every time I had told them this phone call is being recorded I get hung up on and I have called them 4 or 5 times and I get the same thing they hang up on me
