I received a Call from 1-551-256-1895 from a recording saying I was being sued by the IRS and that I needed to call them back. I returned the phone call and finally got through after several attempts. The guy sounded like he was from India , he wanted to know who I was and I told him you called me first so tell me what's this about. He said he was with IRS and they have tried several times to reach me to let me know I was being sued by them. I told him I had already spoke witb IRS and IRS doesnt call you that they notify you through the mail and he hung up on me.. I totally dislike scammers !!!
Only the number was displayed, just like this: 551-256-8239. I don't take calls from numbers I don't recognize (or blocked id's and/or numbers), so I let it go to voicemail. They didn't leave a voicemail, so in to the "Telemarketers" contact they go.
Here's a tip: When you get a telemarketer or otherwise-undesirable call, save that number into a contact called "Junk" or "Telemarketers" or "IgnoreThisCall" or whatever. Then, set the ring tone for that contact to "No Ring" or "Silent" or whatever it is on your phone. Then, if they call again, you will see it in your history log of missed calls but you won't HEAR it. Even if you do SEE the call coming in, the contact information will show up as whatever you named it (above), and you will know to ignore it.
Got call two days ago stating that they are collecting donation to assist women who has breast cancer and can no longer afford to buy their medication. I asked to mail me the info and I will review.
