9/08/16 20:44 PDT Like another reporter commented, these people are relentless. 3rd attempt today. However, unlike Another one, I have blocked the number, first with my call blocker and now added to Frontier Comm. blocking. Hopefully, now, it was ring at all here. I have found that blocking with Frontier, displays number on TV screen, but does not allow it to ring on my end. Good luck, creeps.
Says "Fire Charity Fund". Not sure which fire. My guess would be the Bluecut fire in San Bernardino County. My guess it's a scam. The area code is Fresno. I didn't answer.
They called my unlisted landline number at 8:03 PM PDT on 24 August 2016. The caller ID said "FIRE CHARITFUND". I did not answer. They did not leave a message. My phone numbers are on the Do Not Call list. I will report them to DoNotCall.gov.
This is the third time that "FIRE CHARITFUND" has called in two days. Watch out for "VET SUPPORT FND", which is probably the same people. Added up, they are calling our phone several times a day.
It is obviously a scam to steal money, so I am calling it "Telemarketer" rather than "non-profit". I wish there were a category here called "Scam".
This number called my DNC landline and after seeing the name on my caller ID I immediately blocked it. This charity has called me everyday this week using differant phone numbers - and I've blocked them all. I'm thinking about blocking the entire area code next, as I don't know anyone in the 559 area code. The caller ID shows the caller as Fire CharitFund.
They called my unlisted landline number at 10:28 AM PDT on 26 August 2016. See my previous notes above. As Joe Kenda and I have pointed out above, they are using several different phone numbers and several different names. They called me five times yesterday using "FIRE CHARITFUND" and "VET SUPPORT FND" from morning into evening.
I will report them to DoNotCall.gov, but it won't do much good. Hopefully AT&T, Apple, Google, and the other companies that just started looking for a solution will have better success in the future.
OMG, these people are relentless, and they cannot be blocked! I finally screamed at whoever was on the phone. They sure don't take not answering as a hint. I didn't even let the jerk talk. He was mumbling "Okay, we won't call again." as I hung up.
