Caller identified himself as a representative of the security part of Microsoft. Indicated that they had received through their tracking system, a signal that something was going on with my computer, a trojan was accessing my system and I was in danger of having my files and personal information hacked. After I asked again as to who he said he represented and how he was able to receive a warning signal about what was going on with my system, and getting a very technically convincing response (my error for believing), he was allowed to (by my pressing the "flag" and R keys at the same time) show me (by remotely controlling the system) the warning red and yellow checks..., during this process there was a power outage and we were disconnected. I then got very concerned and called Microsoft Customer Service to inquire about the caller and his actions. I spoke with Clarence and he assured me that Microsoft never makes these kinds of calls, also that this was a phishing scam and I was correct i calling them. He suggested that I report this to the proper authorities and file a complaint with FCC.
I work for an hosting company and this number is calling our call center trying to social engineer us to release another customer's domain so they can hijack the domain name.
We are a staffing company and received a call from this number shopping our rates. Likely a competitor, unfortunately for them we are more professional than that and actually access a prospects NEED before dumping pricing information. Be careful!
This number keeps calling into my business trying to claim they are older than they sound and then trying to report that his account has been hacked. He keeps giving the name Alex London and gets foul mouthed and vulger when I do not comply.
