they call everyday. they never leave a msg. sometimes I answer and don't say anything. it's hilarious bc there is someone getting frustrated on the other end yelling "hello?" I wait a few seconds and they hang up. it's my tiny version of retaliation.
The above number has called MANY times in the past week. I have not answered, but when the answering machine answers the call ends with a hang up. Tired of seeing this. No display of company namet, etc. just the phone number 559-556-0008
Just called my number. The phone number shows as Caller ID and the number shows up as well...I did not answer. They did not leave a message. Thanks to the previous posters, it is pretty safe to say it was a scam
I assume you have Caller ID. My phone displays the Caller ID information even if the answering machine is turned off. If your Caller ID works that way, why not turn off your answering machine when these unwanted entities call? I can't prove it, but my theory is that they will stop calling if they never get an answer. If your machine picks up, they know it's a good number and will continue to bother you. I get about 10 percent of the number of hang-up calls my mother gets ... she faithfully picks up the phone every time the phone rings! Let it ring ... or do something about how loudly it rings if the ringing bugs you. I like to think that "they" (ha) are hearing "neener neener" as it keeps ringing.
