Got the same message, called them back and informed them the IRS sends letters, not calls. Then continued to call out their [***] and harass them back. I even called and spent 5 minutes just tapping on my phone to annoy them. [***] these guys
Caller claimed to be from the IRS. Said that I would be arrested by the local police if I didn't call back in the next 24 hours. Area code is California, I live in Delaware. 1st red flag! 2nd, the IRS will NEVER contact you by phone. All legitimate IRS notices are sent via mail. This is a scam!!!
