Guy asked for the maintenance manager said he was returning a phone call. I asked him what he needed as there are two people who handle maintenance. I asked him if it was parts related and he said he didn't know that he was just returning a phone call. I asked his company and he said it was elictrician equipment. I kept him on hold and when the ringer started up told him that neither of them called and it was probably an old message....
so how funny would it be if everyone who received a call from them said the same thing.
This number called me and the caller id comes up as MIDWAY. He said he was an electrician and wants to talk to our companys maintenance manager to verify a part. I told him we never bought anything from his company he started yelling that our maintenance manager called him but did not leave his name. I then hung up on him. It is a scam.
I thought the call was very odd. He called and asked to speak to the guy who was in charge of maintenance and conveniently forgot his name. I asked him what type of maintenance he was referring to since we really don't have anyone here specifically who is in charge of maintenance since we are a mechanical contractor and do our own. He proceeded to tell me that it "was the guy who carries all the keys," I told him that description didn't help me and said again I needed to know what he was referring to specifically. When he said he was an electrician that gave me a little better idea who I could transfer the call to, but he hung up on me. Good thing too.
The same thing just happened to me!! The caller hung up after I asked him who he was, where he was calling from and what was the nature of his call. I get so tired of these "CRAZY" people calling EVERYDAY ALL DAY!!
Got a call this morning from this same number. The first time a woman was on the phone asking for our janitor by name! Not sure how she got it. Maybe she guessed. She wanted our janitor's phone number. Our office manager refused to give it out. When the call came to me, a man was on the phone. He said our janitor had called him for electrical work. I knew he was lying then. He was very forceful and would not accept that I would not give out any emplyees phone number. He tried everyway he could think of to get it. I got tired of hearing him rent and rave so I went "click!"
Hope these folk don;t read these blogs. They could fine tune their scam if they do. It would be wild if they set up this web page!! LOL!
