Hit my call blocker real quick, coming to my door is another surprise altogether.

I should also add, things make sense now. A lot of people on this site talk about how they are on DNC and get these calls, I signed up when it first came out. So it is published and sent out.
Short educational post, suitable for people with short attention spans:
The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.
The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

The DNC list does not automatically block calls. Instead, it provides a list of "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.
The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations, charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).
The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that. Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and spamming telemarketers!

Remember, the FCC's Do Not Call site is a good one to report unwanted calls from LEGITIMATE telemarketers. To report spammers and scammers, visit the FTC site, at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense. Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.
Short comment and question for those how know it all.
I don't remember slamming the DNC/FCC in this post, and I do know what they are for and how it works. Ever try to get hold of a live person there because the scammer gets on your account and lists their number as one of yours so you can't file a complaint? They are then only half useless.
* So who goes after the the illegal telemarketers since the DNC/FCC is in charge of controlling these issues? Seems to me that that is the biggest question most comments want to know. Your DNC/FCC.....NOT!!!! I mean after all The FCC is the Federal Communications Commission and is the enforcement arm for all inappropriate and unwanted electronic communications. They do prosecute as long as the target is easy to reach but forget it when it comes to leg work RIGHT!
* FYI I already have a home call blocker, but I guess you didn't pick that up. Better get Brain Games so you can improve your own memory and comprehension capability before you attempt to slam and belittle someone else. I don't rely on your big government nor do I trust it to take care of all issues.
