I got a call from this same number. I answered it. They are from the Florida Highway Patrol and they are asking that you commit to making a donation and show your support for the Florida Highway Patrols by putting a bumper sticker on your car and paying $20 -$100 .
The lady that called did not identify herself. She wanted to talk with the elderly member of the household. I asked her, why she was calling. She didn't say why, but did say she was calling on behalf of Community Services. I asked her to tell me about Community Services. Her response was that CS is an org. which provides services to the elderly.
The call was really about collecting money for law enforcement agencies.
Glad I didn't let my 83 year old mother talk to her.
Received a call from 561-203-1435. Caller id said 'Jupiter FL'. I never answer calls from numbers I don't know, but I did search for the number and found this page. I figured it's yet another scam. Based on the previous posting, if they are explicitly asking for an elderly member of the household, that's a huge red flag.
Like "John" above , I don't answer if I don't recognize # & I wait for voicemail. None left. Called the # thru my work switchboard. Man's voice responds telling me to call from the # that I received their call from. No company name given. Deduction.......S....C....A...M
