call is being received regularly. number unknown and when it is called it says it is a disconnected number and NOT in use!?

Spam or worse effort . Will never answer unwanted or unknown #'s of these types !!! CID said Out Of Area but hung up before answer machine so no message left .. Funny I have the sale area code and could be a neighbor but comes up Out Of Area - Yeah I'll call back right now ----- NOT ..
